Reservations

Once an enquiry has been submitted for a booking we will confirm the booking in writing via e mail or letter. A deposit of 25% is payable; if the booking is within 8 weeks of the arrival date payment is in full. Non payment of the balance on or before the payment is due shall be deemed as a cancellation of the contract by the client. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer.

Arrival and Departure

The house will be available at 4pm on the day of arrival and be vacated by 10:00am on the day of departure. 

Cancellation of Booking

As with any holiday we recommend you take out holiday insurance to cover all eventualities to cover yourself against curtailment and loss or damage to personal effects. If you wish to cancel after booking please e mail enquiries@gearraidhhosta.co.uk  immediately. On receipt of notice and confirmation back to you we will endeavour to re let the property for the period booked. If reletting is successful we will return all monies paid less any difference in the re letting price. If the cancellation date is within 8 weeks of arrival and we have been unable to re let the property, the client shall be liable for the full cost of the rental period.

House Unavailability

The owners will have no liability whatsoever if for any reason the house is not available for your holiday and will return all payments to you. These contingencies could include fire/damage/covid19 or anything that is unforeseen and beyond our control

COVID 19

should it be impossible to travel to the island at the time of your holiday from a mainland Uk location because of a travel ban imposed by the Scottish government or Westminster the deposit and full payment will be returned to you during the week of your proposed visit

Good Housekeeping Deposit

The House has many of our personal possessions as we spend a great deal of our time here.  A deposit of £100 is payable with the balance of the let 8 weeks before arrival.The deposit will be returned by first class post on the Monday or by internet transfer if the property has been left in a clean condition and no damage or smoking has occurred. The deposit will be returned immediately if the holiday has been cancelled before the let commences.

CLEANING

The property must be left in the same condition as it is found. The price includes a standard charge for cleaning. If the property is left in a dirty or inappropriate manner then an additional cleaning surcharge will be deducted from your security deposit.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS AND VEHICLES

All belongings and vehicles are left at their owners’ risk and you should check they are adequately covered for loss and damage through travel insurance. The proprietors accept no responsibility for any loss, damage or any injury to any member of your party or property, howsoever caused, arising in any manner out of the let of the premises. 

Smoking

Strictly no smoking within the house or grounds please.
